Shameeka Ayers married her love of marketing and public relations to her obsession with social media to create her alter ego, blog and brand, The Broke Socialite, in 2006. Through this voice, Shameeka has utilized new media to create a national series of highly-lauded dessert tours and festivals with a social media twist called Sugar Coma EventsTM. She also produces lavish!TM, a first-in-class lifestyle bloggers conference for those who utilize social media to engage about shelter, style, travel, food & wine, entertaining and other general lifestyle considerations. Also an author, Shameeka recently penned Instantly!: How Quickly I Realized I Hate My Job, a novella (release scheduled for Summer 2012) where occupational tomfoolery, hilarity and technology collide and is a lifestyle writer for You’ll enjoy her Twitter chit chat at @brokesocialite.



With a love of entertaining, Courtney Whitmore has quickly become a well-known stylist in the field of party design and décor. Growing up in the South, she attended Vanderbilt University earning both a bachelors in Communications and masters in Organizational Leadership. Since March 2010, she has grown into a go-to source for all things entertaining. Regularly appearing on Nashville news broadcasts, Courtney has also been published in several print publications including Nashville Lifestyles Magazine, and has authored two books including Push-Up Pops and Candy Making for Kids. Katie Rudder of popular-preppy blog, Let’s Be Preppy is a senior Marketing major at the University of South Carolina and is one of our Swoozie’s Sweethearts. She also works part-time at a Lilly Pulitzer store in South Carolina. Be sure to send her a sweet tweet at @letsbepreppy!



A true Southern belle, Christie Leigh Mueller is on a mission to share the traditions of the South with the world. Author of popular book Gridiron Belles : A Guide to Saturdays in Dixie, she spends her Fall weekends tailgating, cheering and educating ladies on the proper etiquette of football. Christie Leigh recently launched and is editor of SouthernLeague Magazine, a print publication defining the culture and style surrounding the co-eds and young professionals of the South. Kate was born and raised in Roswell, Georgia and is currently studying Public Relations at Auburn University. As a past intern for SouthernLeague Magazine  and Gridiron Belles, Kate brings extensive football knowledge to the Swoozie’s community as a College Football Scene reporter. An avid fan of all things SEC football and southern tradition, you can find Kate at every Auburn home game. Go War Eagle!






Charlotte Rollins As a Raleigh, NC native, Charlotte grew up a true NC State Wolfpack fan and all-around sports enthusiast.  Since graduating from NC State, Charlotte has spent many weekends traveling the Southeast to experience the best college football has to offer, on and off the field, and shares her passion for the sport as the Swoozie’s ACC Correspondent.
