Swoozie’s Goes Pink for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

You have likely seen that Swoozie’s has ‘gone pink’ for October. If you log onto Swoozies.com – where our site has been transformed with a pink wall and pink OO’s or walk through the pink doors of Swoozie’s store – you’ll know what we’re talking about. As part of our initiative, we are selling our annual PinkPASS for $20, which allows customers to receive 20% off all Swoozie’s purchases through November 2. The best part about the PinkPASS is that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the pass goes directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an organization we are proud to support.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1992 and part of their mission is to find a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime by providing funding for research at leading medical centers worldwide. Currently, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to research and awareness programs!

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation brings to light some astounding facts. In the U.S., one woman will die from breast cancer every 13 minutes. Also, 230,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected in women in the U.S. during 2011. While these statistics are shocking, they have inspired us to continue supporting the cause in an effort to reduce these numbers. On a positive note, due largely to research initiatives, 97% of women diagnosed with localized breast cancer at an early stage will survive more than 5 years! The most important step we can take to encourage growth of these positive statistics is to continue supporting breast cancer research initiatives.

Swoozie’s is proud to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and we are even more pleased to honor all of the our customers who have been affected by breast cancer. If you would like to support the cause, you may purchase a PinkPASS in-stores or online for $20. Let’s celebrate pink!

We’re tying pink bows and throwing pink confetti!
